What exactly is the login code?
When you sign in to Telegram, it sends you a one-time code. According to Telegram's own FAQ, the code arrives in the verified service chat named “Telegram” in your chat list and should never be shared with anyone.
The reason is simple: whoever holds the code can sign in to your account and see what you can see in it. Two-step verification adds a layer — it asks for a password as well as the SMS code — but it is no reason to hand the code to anyone.
So what does a seller need to activate Premium?
Premium is a subscription attached to a Telegram account, but the account owner does not have to be the one who buys it. Telegram has an official Premium gift: from any user's profile you can send them a prepaid 3, 6 or 12-month subscription. The gift arrives instantly as a special message with an animated gift box in your chat with that user.

Delivery is stated up front
They should say how the subscription reaches your account (for example Telegram's official gift to a username) and roughly when.
Price and fee before you pay
The subscription price and the seller's fee should be written separately and before payment, not revealed at the payment step.
A failed purchase has a stated outcome
If the purchase cannot be completed, cancellation and a refund should be spelled out in writing.
You can follow the order
Every order should have a reference number and a visible status, so you are not relying on chat messages alone.
If you already gave away a code or password
It is not too late. Do these three things now:
- In Telegram open Settings › Devices and close any session you do not recognise.
- Turn on two-step verification, which asks for a password on top of the SMS code. If you gave away your two-step password, change it.
- From now on, send the login code to nobody, for any order.
Two honest points before you order
- If your account already has active Premium: Telegram's official documentation does not say how a gift combines with an existing subscription. That is why it is safer to place the order after your current subscription ends.
