Pay university tuition with an Iranian bank card

You have an offer and the tuition or deposit has to be sent to the university in foreign currency. rima makes the payment on your behalf, the fee is 3% and published on this page, and you get the payment receipt.

Why it's hard

Universities take foreign currency only, and don't know Iranian cards

University payment portals and their processors (Flywire, Convera and the like) do not accept an Iranian card or a domestic account. Tuition deadlines are usually tied to enrolment or the visa timeline, so they don't wait.

So most people ask someone with a foreign card. The problem is not that it fails — it is that no receipt tied to the student survives, and if the payment never reaches the university there is nothing to follow up on.

What's in scope

rima pays the tuition. It has no part in admission or your university file.

We say it first because some services sell both. Applying, corresponding with the university and the file itself are yours or your advisor's. What rima does is one specific thing: the amount the university asked for, paid in the right currency to that account inside the deadline, with the receipt handed back to you.

How it works

From order to receipt

1. Have the payment details ready

The university name, the payment ID or reference the university gave you (invoice / student reference), and the student's name. That is what the order form asks for.

2. Pay the amount in Toman

The Toman equivalent is calculated at the day's rate plus the service fee and shown before you pay. You pick the order currency — dollars, euros or pounds.

3. Receive the receipt

The payment is made to the university and its receipt is filed for you. The order status stays in your panel with its date.

Pricing

3%, at every amount

The exchange rate is the one rima publishes openly on the site — visible before you order, not made up for you. The service fee is separate and listed below.

Fee by order amount
Order amountFeeEffective rate
$500$153%
$2,000$603%
$5,000$1503%
$15,000$4503%
$30,000$9003%
$50,000$1,5003%

This fee is not tiered and has no floor or ceiling: 3% at $500 is 3% at $50,000. That is why the effective-rate column reads the same on every row.

This table is computed by the same function the checkout uses, so it cannot promise a number the payment won't honour.

Before choosing any service

The two numbers to know before paying

  1. 1The exchange rate the amount is calculated at — and whether you can see it before ordering.
  2. 2The service fee, as a stated number or percentage — not “shown at checkout”.

Together they make the final price, and separating them is the only way to compare honestly. On an amount as large as tuition, even a small hidden percentage becomes a big number. Both of rima's numbers are on the site before you reach the order form: the rate on the home page, the fee in the table above.

Terms

Worth knowing upfront

Turnaround

Our commitment ceiling is 24 hours. University payments depend on the institution's portal and hours, so tell us up front if an enrolment deadline is close.

Which universities

Any university or processor with a foreign-currency payment page. If you are unsure, send the payment link or reference before ordering — checking costs nothing.

Receipt and matching

The payment is made against the exact university reference so it lands on the right account. That is why getting the reference right matters more than speed.

Amount range: From $50 to $50,000 per order. If a full year's tuition is above the ceiling, split it into more than one order or talk to support first.

The university sets the tuition refund policy

Whether paid tuition is refundable if you withdraw or a visa is refused depends on the university's own rules and is outside rima's control. What we do guarantee: if the payment is not made to the university, your money comes back in full.

FAQ

Asked before ordering

What is the fee?
3% of the order amount, with no floor or ceiling. The table above shows it by amount and is generated from the same calculation the checkout runs.
Is the fee added or deducted?
Added. The amount you enter is the amount paid to the university.
Can I pay just one instalment or the deposit?
Yes. Whatever amount the university asked for — an acceptance deposit, a single instalment, or the full tuition — up to the per-order ceiling.
What do I need to place an order?
The university name, the payment ID or reference the university gave you, and the student's name.
Can I pay for my child or someone else?
Yes. Enter that student's details and payment reference; the payment goes to that account while the order and its tracking stay with you.
What if the payment cannot be made?
The amount is returned to you, and the fee is only charged on a payment that actually happened.
